Borealis AI is proud to announce our summer’s cohort of Machine Learning Researcher interns and Engineering Co-op students. These inquisitive student minds will help the researchers and engineers at Borealis AI to develop cutting-edge AI models and solutions that aim to shape the future of finance. Borealis AI teams will help these students develop the skills they need to become tomorrow’s AI leaders. And together, we will contribute to Canada’s AI ecosystem and talent pipeline growth.
The Borealis AI Research Internship Program gives graduate students an opportunity to spend the term working on a wide variety of theoretical and applied machine learning projects. The Engineering Co-op program students will help drive a project from end-to-end, working on everything from data pre-processing to implementing machine learning algorithms and front-end development.
“Canada’s universities and AI research institutes are training some of the brightest minds in our field today. Our goal is to help them grow into Canada’s future AI leaders by providing them with the support, tools, capabilities and encouragement they need to develop their skills and build experience. What makes this particularly exciting for them and for Borealis AI is that these are real-life business challenges they will be helping to solve,”

“Programs like the Borealis AI Internships and Co-op Engineering placements help Canada’s young talent expand their experience and enhance their university education by working on real-life business challenges alongside a team of people who care deeply about their success and progress. At the same time, it also allows them to get their hands on some very cool AI data sets, tools, GPUs, and resources. For a curious young researcher or engineer, it’s not a bad way to spend the summer,” added Greg Mori, Senior Director, Research.
